There are many ways you can become involved with the NAAA.

Become an Officer in the Executive Council (EC)

The EC provides the leadership and overall direction of all operations in support of the NAAA. As a member of the Executive Council, you will play a crucial role in the NAAA accomplishing its goals. For a description of the duties of the EC officer positions, see Section 2.2 of the Bylaws.

Become a Special Project Chair

The following positions are appointed by the EC and report directly to one of the EC officers:

- Membership Chair
- Newsletter Editor
- Election Officer
- Webmaster
- Email List Manager
- Annual Conference Coordinator

Volunteer for a Working Group or Other NAAA-related Tasks

A working group is formed to help the Executive Council accomplish specific goals of the NAAA. A message is usually sent to the news mailing list by the Executive Council requesting volunteers to help with a major effort that the organization is about to undertake. In addition, from time to time, the Executive Council or one of the Working Groups have minor tasks that need to be accomplished. If you are interested in participating in a working group or giving a few hours to the NAAA, please e-mail us at naaa@nasa-academy.org.

Continue an Academy Group Project or Run Your Own Original Project

The NAAA supports alumni to continue group projects that were started during the summer by providing a mechanism to raise and distribute funds and tap into other alumni for help. In addition, the NAAA encourages alumni to develop new projects and lead a group of alumni to work on these projects.

Make a Financial Donation

Although there are no required yearly dues for members of the NAAA, by making a donation you will help the NAAA accomplish its goals during the year. As with any organization, some of the things the NAAA does requires funding. Every little bit helps! Please give as much or as little as you can.
